I just finished reading - and I have to say that this was my least favorite of the Black Dagger books.
They could have done so much with the V character, but the book seemed to be more about John and Phury! In fact, I was much more interested in Phury's story line. The Zsadist book was my favorite so far and I still like J.R. Ward. Better luck with the Primale story! |

tvzomby, I agree with you. When I think of what was memorable about the book, I remember more of the Phury and John parts than V. Which is really unfortunate because V is my favorite brother, next to Phury. I also wasn't real crazy about the whole Jane coming back as a ghost. I can't wait for the Phury book Lover Enshrined!

i agree w/the previous posts. i so looked forward
to this book because, although rhage is my fav, i was thinking V was gonna be a close 2nd. and actually, he was so compelling i may forsake rhage altogether! but jr ward did let me down a bit. too many other story lines going on. i don't feel like she developed V's story as much as the others - at least not his love story. we learn about his background and that was interesting. and when he was w/jane - whew! i just wanted more!!!! but i still love the BDB books....this world is so fascinating and addicting! you just can't resist them! |

I absolutely love the BDB series and I slightly disagree,, not entirely. I do like that she seems to introduce and develop the characters for the next book. I think that's one thing that keeps me reading. To that I must also add that I just started reading this series 3 weeks ago and I might just die until the next book comes out. I am so captivated by each character that I just cannot pick my favorite just yet. I do think there is more to V's story that is left untold. I too am not sure about the whole ghost thing. It was a bit of a downturn in the book.
