1. What is the ONE best book you read in July? What did you rate it? Why did you like it? 2. What is the ONE worst book you read in July? What did you rate it? Why didn't you like it? 3. What ONE book are you most looking forward to reading in August? ******************************************************************* umm....ok one ish.... 1. What is the ONE best book you read in July? What did you rate it? Why did you like it? I had two 5 star books in July. Unleashed by Lori Borrill for having a really tight plot. Midnight Oil by Karen Kendall for cute characters 2. What is the ONE worst book you read in July? What did you rate it? Why didn't you like it? Dark Embrace by Brenda Joyce got two stars for me. Very disappointing. Creepy heroes, wishy-washy hero, jumble of stupid gods/devil stuff 3. What ONE book are you most looking forward to reading in August? Hmm...two that I'm looking forward to..... The Restorer since I've heard so many positive comments about the Graveyard Queen series and Through A Crimson Veil by Patti O'Shea since I like the Crimson City series. _______________ Exasperated dragon on the field of battle: "Mother said there would be knights like this."

Nice thread O. I always love the things you come up with for us! Mwuah! Hm, its hard to nail down only one in each category but here goes... Worst: Her Egypt by Sidavy Kuong. Quite possibly one of the worst I've ever read. The whole idea of the story skeeved me out. Much older lady hooks up with a really young man. The rest of the story made no sense and the grammar, oh god, the grammar. Oh and then throw in the fact that I'm pretty sure the author isn't very familiar with the English language. Oh and my favorite quote of the book... She could hear him unzipping his pants and soon he went inside her. He pushed hard into her and she gasps. She covers her mouth out of embarrassment. He took her hands away from her mouth and held her wrists flat to the bed. He says, “Ah” to her. She stares at him and repeats, “Ah” to him" backYIKES! Okay, now the best books of July, so so so many!!! The Siren by Tiffany Reisz, Erotica, Wonderful writing! The emotional ups and downs between the three main characters was heartbreaking and exhilarating throughout the book. If I Were You by Lisa Renee Jones (comes out the end of August) Romantic Suspense/Erotic Romance, Loved this one! The suspense was fabulous. It's a trilogy so the cliffhanger at the end was brutal for me since I sooo want to know what happens. The characters are realistic and very easy to relate to. Of course there are two very sexy men involved and a mysterious woman who we still haven't met but only know through her journals that the main character has found. The Covert Wolf by Bonnie Vanak, Paranormal Romance/Special Ops, Navy Seal Shifter, Fae, and Vamps. Oh My! You all know I love pretty much anything with a Navy Seal in it. This one was no exception. Great story with several different paranorms. They men are Navy Seals but belong to a secret special team made up of paranorms. Kade's Dark Embrace by Kym Grosso, Paranormal Romance. For anyone that likes series like Anita Blake, Riley Jensen, etc. The police suspense is great. While the basis to the story has been done before (female police detective forced to work with vampire who just happens to be the ruler of New Orleans) but the author did a great job keeping it fresh and interesting. Another series where there is a cliffhanger that involves a secondary character that will be the focus of the second book. I could list so many more, but those are probably the best three. What I look forward to in August... Just got approved to review the ARC of The Angel which is a sequel to The Siren by Tiffany Reisz. _______________ Favorite Quote at the Moment:Veil of Seduction Steffan: I never believed in anything like this before. I'm so glad I could make you smile my dear. The book was all of 78 pages I think and I made it to about page, oh, 25 and I had to stop. It was truly that bad! I actually stopped reading right after the part I quoted. I got to that part and started cracking up and immediately deleted it from my Kindle. lol qcavaliers wrote I'm sorry I need to think about the books but Queenie...
