While I was searching for Lora Leigh books, I was inundated with other authors of Erotica. So now I have a dilema: which authors of Erotica do you like? Where do you suggest I start?

I would prefer paranormal erotica, vampires in particular, but I'm game for anything you suggest (besides Leigh).

VKD, no, I'm not sure it only has to be paranormal, but I think I would prefer that. I do love the otherness in these characters.

And I had no idea there were 'types' of Erotica...unless you are asking where do I draw the line? I don't want anything with samesex partners. Or animals.

Oh please, you have to ask, lol. I'm the disturbed, demented one remember. I've just started the erotica scene but ummm*turns bright red* it's realllly good. I was going to ask ILEC did you have a problem with JR Ward and her homoerotic themes?

Okay, here's my list. I've been debating on whether to break it down by intensity level or type of erotica, but I figure I'll just list the author's and you can decide for yourself. Of course I'm always available to answer any of the more detailed questions too. Right ILEC? I will let you know that some of these are NOT for someone just getting their feet wet in the erotica pool. Some of these can be very instense and have scenes that not everyone will like.

It's just a random list of those I've read.

I'm very new to it so I only have a few authors. I bought Anya Bast's The Chosen Sin, I think thats what its called. So I have to start reading again soon I've been kinda dragging with my reading lately, don't know why. I think between the new job and the kids getting ramped for Xmas I haven't had the time. It's still November and all my kids can talk about is what they want and can they take this or that to the school for the food drive, I keep telling them if they give away all our food we'll have to use the food bank come Xmas time, lol.

Lora Leigh, Anais Nin (very old erotica) and some free short stories on the Elora's Cave site are the only erotica I have read. Looks like I'll have to update my TBR list on Shelfari.

I can answer that for you. She is talking about the true erotica, not stuff like BDB.

I don't think I have read any true erotic....not that I am not open to it.

i would recomend some BDB, and check out this author: shelly laurenston her books are "erotic" but also fuuny. the pride series is realllly good and the magnus one i'm on the first book, but its getting good- if yu knw what i mean)
christine warren's "others" book are nice as well.
also try the weather warden seires by rachel caine.. it aint paranormal- as in vamps and wolfs- but it is difinitly erotic
