Tami, you’re not the only adult who’s discovered that lots of teen books are terrific reads. There’s a big resurgence now in teen lit and I think many of Stephanie Meyer’s fans are adults.

Alicia, I have no idea how many books are going to be in the Casa Dracula series. I wrote the first one as a single title, and my editor and readers wanted more. Two books in the series every year would be too much for me. I need to let the stories develop and marinate.

You’re absolutely right — I should have something about The Bride of Casa Dracula on my website. My web designer is updating things right now and we’re just waiting for the cover art to be finalized for The Bride. Everyone who’s seen it loves it — including me!

I forgot to mention/ask in my first question, How come there is no mention on your web site about The Bride of Casa Dracula? When I find a book that I really like I always go to the Authors site to check on upcoming books and there is no information about it at all. Thank goodness I found this site!! but it was just by chance.

How many books are going to be in the Casa Dracula Series? I hope ALOT! My Mom and I LOVE them! I just wish you could get two books out a year on Casa Dracula! Yes I love them this much!

One editor said, “We’d love to see something conventional from you.” So I wrote a romantic comedy about a wacky, educated Latina, a bunch of vampires and the extremist group pursuing them.

I love this, Marta, because it was basically the same for me. I wrote several straight mysteries that didn’t sell, then when I took one of them and made the protagonist a vampire…well, the rest, as they say, is history!

Thanks, Kimberly! I just sent off the final (?) manuscript of THE BRIDE OF CASA DRACULA this morning. I’m quite excited about the book because it took a few unexpected turns. Now let’s just hope that my editor likes the ending as much as I do!
