GIVEAWAY:  7 E-COPIES OF THE BLACK SWAN BOX SET, Books 1-3  Rafflecopter a Rafflecopter giveaway

Moonlight is the fourth book in the Order of the Black Swan Series.  This particular book focuses on Stalkson Grey, the powerful alpha werewolf. He needs to find mates for the young members of his tribe because they are facing extinction.  Then he wonders if it is too late for him to have a mate as well.

I am always excited for the newest Black Swan book! Although the B Team are now mated and retired Danann brings back our favorite characters with each and every book, and introduces us to whole new ones.  Once again I was very happy to see how life is treating Elora and my favorite elf Ram. Not to mention my favorite knight Storm and his lovely witch Litha. The scrumptious former vampire, Baka even makes an appearance! I am growing more fascinated with other characters as well, such as Glen, Torn, and the unpredictable incubus demon Deliverance!  I really liked Stalkson as soon as I met him, and Danann portrayed his inner turmoil to do what is best for his pack so well that I felt a little closer to the character than I did before.  When he lays eyes on Luna, for the first time you see a whole new side that is more than unsure, and at moments the gruff alpha is quite sweet!

I will suggest to readers who are interested in reading this book, please start from the beginning.  These books combine to make one continuous story.  Although the author does give the reader a little summary to catch the reader up they would be cheated out of a wonderful story by starting in the middle of the series.

Danann has once again captured me with her gripping tale.  Elements of romance, action, excitement are in full force with moments of humor that will have the reader snickering aloud.  Her storytelling demands your attention and does not let you go until the final page is read, and as if that isn’t enough you are left wanting more!

South of Surrender Release Day Blitz Giveaway

SOS Release Day Blitz

I am thrilled to welcome Chrysander Notos to the world today! Chrys is the hero of South of Surrender, the third book in my Greek-mythology inspired Hearts of the Anemoi series. The Anemoi were wind gods the Greeks associated with controlling the wind, the weather, and the seasons, and as the summer god, Chrys is the hottest of them all! Need more proof? Check out this hot excerpt and the giveaway that follows!

Unable to resist the draw to her any longer, Chrys claimed her mouth, devouring, searching, taking.

Laney froze, then was right there with him.

Their tongues met, dueled, twirled. He fisted his hand in her hair and guided her, deepening when he wanted, restraining her when he needed.

Her hands slid up his chest toward his neck.

Chrys gasped into the kiss, but fought the reflexive desire to pull away. Instead, he pushed her back one step, then another, until her back encountered the door. He grabbed her arms and pressed them to the surface over her head. The control flooded relief through him and fueled his arousal another notch.

“I want to touch you,” she whispered around a kiss.

His brain scrambled for a moment, and then he wedged his body in tighter, the ridge of his cock coming in snug against her belly. She unleashed a strangled moan as Chrys plundered her mouth, relished her sweet taste, bathed in her life-giving heat.

Good gods, her body was absolutely alive with her arousal. She clenched and unclenched her hands, her arm muscles flexing where he restrained her. Her abdomen writhed against his, creating a maddening friction against his erection. Her thighs shifted and squeezed.

It was only with the barest of restraint that he resisted willing her clothing away, turning her to face the wall, and tugging her hips out so he could bury himself deep.

Lost in the imagery, Chrys didn’t notice the change in her movements until she slowly dragged her injured leg up the outside of his. Her wrists pressed against his hold and a yearning moan worked up her throat. “Chrys,” she whimpered, her thigh moving higher and wrapping around.

His pulse lunged into a sprint. Damnit. He pulled back and stepped away, the phantom feeling of her flesh trapping his spiking fear through him. “I’m sorry,” he said, rubbing his lips, regret a rock in his stomach. He could still feel her, taste her. Making sure she was steady on her feet, he dropped his hands from holding hers.

About the Author:

I first discovered the world of self-publishing in February 2011, when my 7-month-old son was admitted to the hospital with severe respiratory issues. During his stay in the hospital, I tried to keep us both entertained by downloading several books on my Kindle and reading them out loud.

I read a number of self-published books and realized that I had an opportunity to share my writings with the world. I soon decided to quit my full-time job in the insurance and financial services industry, stay home with my son and write. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. My son’s health has improved drastically, and I’ve never been happier.

I prefer to read and write YA fantasy, romance, and paranormal romance. The next book in my Rapid City Wolves series, “Blood Oath,” will be released for Amazon Kindle on June 1, 2013.

His eyes were molten silver, burning through me as he leaned closer. He stopped less than an inch from me, eyes boring into mine.

“Eve,” he whispered, and I lurched forward, bumping my forehead against his as our lips crashed against each other. His hands came up to bury themselves in my hair, his grip steadying me as I tried to keep my balance on the bed.

He tasted impossibly clean, his mouth a revelation of sweetness. Desire unfurled within my belly, and I moaned against his lips. He responded with a low growl, pushing against me. For some reason I reacted instinctively, fighting his dominance, refusing to retreat as he pressed closer. His hands were rough in my hair, and I responded by placing my own hands against his chest and pushing.

He didn’t give. Instead he pulled his hands from my hair and wrapped them around me. He moved us sideways on the bed, shifting together, and he lay down with me. We lay on our sides, facing each other, and his hand trailed down my back, sending shivers up my spine. I wanted to be closer, and I tried to maneuver so that I could climb on top of him, but his hand was firm on my hip, refusing to allow me to move.

Frustrated, I let the tip of my tongue caress his lower lip, and I felt him shudder against me. He crushed my hips to his, his hand moving even lower, gliding over the back pockets of my jeans before he pulled my thigh up and draped it over his hip.

He was pressed so insistently against my core that I was finally the one who gave in, groaning as I pulled him on top of me. It wasn’t so much a submission as an admission of trust, and I felt his lips still against mine as his hips settled between my legs.

When he pulled back, I wondered if I’d done something wrong. “What-“

“Shhh,” he said, putting one finger against my lips. He leaned down and kissed the corner of my mouth gently. “Eve, don’t misunderstand what I’m about to say.”

What? How was I supposed to respond to that? “That depends on what you say,” I replied, and my voice was stronger than I’d expected it to be.

A smile played around his lips. “You have no idea how much I want you,” he muttered, and lowered his mouth to my neck. His tongue traced a line along my collarbone, and silvery trills of desire shot through me. I brought my legs up to lock around his waist, and nearly cried out when he bit down gently at the curve of my shoulder.

He rolled off me suddenly, breaking the physical contact, and I was left feeling cold and empty, like I’d been doused with a bucket of water.

For a few moments the only sound was my shallow breathing as I tried to calm my racing heart.

His fingers laced with mine, holding my hand as we lay side-by-side.

“I don’t want to rush this, Eve,” he said at last, and raised my hand to his lips, kissing my wrist. “I’m not going to push you into anything you might regret. We need to take our time.”

I pulled my hand from his and rolled onto my side, propping my head up on my fist and staring incredulously at him. “You think I’d regret being with you?”

He raised a hand to trace a finger along my cheekbone. “I think you need to get to know me better before you decide to give me something so precious.”

I felt myself blushing, and averted my eyes. He talked about me like I was some kind of rare treasure- a far cry from the boys I’d dated back in New York.

Jericho leaned up to press his lips to mine again, and this time the kiss was pure and innocent, as chaste as any kiss between lovers could be. “Lie with me,” he murmured against my lips, and laid back, his eyes gleaming in the moonlight.

I snuggled into the crook of his shoulder, resting my hand against his chest. “You could at least take your shirt off,” I said hopefully.

His chuckle rumbled against my ear. “Go to sleep, Eve.”

It was nearly an hour before I fell asleep like that, secure in Jericho’s arms.

Book Description:

Nexi Jones—part witch, part guardian, and wannabe kick-ass warrior—can’t throw a punch or conjure the simplest magic. But that doesn’t stop her from hunting the werewolves who slaughtered her human family. She’ll have her revenge, but only if Kyden, the elite guardian, would get the hell out of her way.

Kyden can’t decide if Nexi wants to get herself killed or if she just has no clue what she’s doing. But her father made it clear: keep Nexi safe…or else. Of course, the more Nexi runs toward revenge, the more she needs Kyden’s aid, and as she grows into her power and confidence, so does his desire to protect her. The only problem? She’d rather he dropped dead.

But when a vampire paints a bull’s-eye on Nexi’s back, she’s hard-pressed to deny Kyden and the help he’s offering. Even if it means getting her revenge will be a little bit harder. At least it will still be as sweet.

I’ve found you, fur ball.

Nexi peered from behind the large oak tree and spotted the small log cabin nestled in the thick forest. The porch light cast a warm glow into the night. Fog settled over the lush grass, and the night was dark, eerie.

Stepping away from her hiding place behind the tree, she strode forward and gripped the dagger tightly in her hand. Keeping the silver blade pointed outward, she climbed the cabin’s porch steps, taking each one slowly to avoid detection.

Once she arrived at the front door, she wrapped her hand around the door handle. Rich hunger for revenge burned in her veins and made her intent on one thing: to slaughter the werewolf who escaped the night of her parents’ murder. Not caring what awaited her, she stormed inside, dagger pointed, ready to kill.

The simple cabin had two large brown couches near a wood-burning stove, a kitchenette behind the living room, and a quilt-covered bed resting in the back. And that was it; there were no other rooms to investigate. No secret hiding places she could see.

No damned werewolf.

She cursed, shut the front door behind her, then trotted down the steps to return to her hiding spot. On her way across the yard, she glanced at the space to the right of the tree, which looked much like a heat wave, indicating that the portal to the Otherworld remained.

In some places around the world—or the Earthworld, as supernaturals had called it—there were permanent portals to the supernatural realm. This portal had only appeared because Nexi had travelled to this cabin from the Otherworld. Once she passed through the portal again, the gateway would vanish.

Magic had its perks. Quick travel was one of them.

Nexi shook her head at how normal all this magical stuff seemed now. Just over a month ago she’d never believed in anything that went bump in the night. Now she knew all those things existed, and in fact, she was one of them.

To her horror, she had learned that her birth mother, Tillie, had been murdered by a power-hungry vampire, Lazarus.  All those years ago, her birth father, Drake, had protectively decided to block Nexi’s supernatural abilities. He had planned for her to live and die as a mortal. Now with her return to the Otherworld and the removal of the block on her true identity, there was no going back.

She was no longer plain, human, Nexi Jones.

She was Nexi Jones, part guardian, part witch.

Looking away from the portal and to her hiding spot until the werewolf returned, she hurried her steps. She wasn’t ready to return to the Otherworld yet. Not until she had the werewolf’s head as her wall ornament would she dare go home.

Just as she neared the tree, a woodsy scent that had nothing to do with the forest mixed with the citrusy aroma of aftershave. A blink of an eye later, the dagger she held was now at her throat, a hard body closed in on her back.

“You smelled lovely when you arrived.” The low voice by her ear held a faint English accent. “But I never imagined you’d be so pretty.”

The blade pressed into her skin, not drawing blood, but implying that if the werewolf chose, she’d be destined for the grave. “I’m…”

“Going to explain yourself.” He lowered the dagger, took hold of her arm, and jerked her forward.

In a few short strides, the werewolf tossed her through the threshold of the cabin, and slammed the door behind them. He sauntered to the couch, sat down, and regarded her. “Now then, darlin’.” His olive skin was stunningly flawless, and his chocolate-colored hair was spiked tall. “Why would a pretty lass like yourself plan to attack me?”

“Don’t move.” That charm wouldn’t fool her. “Stay right where you are.”

“My mouth is the only thing moving.” His slanted amber eyes raked over her. “Would you like me to stop talking?”

“No.” She hesitated then added, “Only your mouth can move. Nothing else. Tell me what you know.”

He gave her a long look. “I’d be glad to tell you anything you’d like, love.”

His kind face and soft voice wouldn’t trick her. He was a werewolf. She was certain, which was another oddity.

After the block on her supernatural abilities had been lifted, she could identify a supernatural creature as if knowing the difference between a brunette and a redhead. “Tell me why you killed my family.”

“That’s an interesting accusation.” He cocked his head, studying her with a frown. “But I think the more important question is who are you?”

She lifted her chin. “The lass who’s going to cut off your furry wolf balls.”

Werewolves Be Damned is the first book in the Magic and Mayhem series.  Nexi Jones has just witnessed the murder of her parents in the most impossible way, and before she knows it she is thrust into the Otherworld and learns things about herself and heritage that is absolutely unbelievable.

Nexi is a stubborn and headstrong young woman and makes a truly kickass heroine.  Readers will see Nexi begin her time in the Otherworld a confused, angered, and grief stricken woman and transform into a strong and confident warrior.  The only thing more baffling than learning there is a supernatural world she didn’t know exists and that she belongs to is the way she feels for the warrior guardian and her trainer Kyden.  She finds him infuriating with his perfect body and caveman behavior.  Yet at times a look from him can nearly bring her to her knees.  I loved the interaction between these two characters, and the way the author let them truly get to learn about one another.  She did a wonderful job of building the chemistry between Nexi and Kyden.  There are so many other fantastic characters in the book I am excited to learn more about.   I am already eager for the next book.

I have read some of Kennedy’s erotic stories and immediately became a fan.  I was so excited to read this book, and see this other side to her storytelling.  Let me say I was not disappointed.  There may not have been the all-out intense heat of her erotica, but this book was so well written and thought out. I found I enjoyed it thoroughly. I’m not saying there is no heat and attraction in the novel, because there is, it is just toned down a bit as to not distract from the actual tale.  Kennedy has just  made me a fan of her paranormal works as well.  Stacey Kennedy has proved to be a very diverse writer between the paranormal and erotic genres I will always be looking forward to what she is going to do next!

This read is full of everything a paranormal romance fan is looking for.  There are sexy guardians, werewolves, vampires, and witches.  If that isn’t enough readers can also get their fill of action and romance too! If you haven’t given Kennedy’s books a try, dear reader, you are missing out!

Nightlife: Las Vegas is the second book in the Nightlife Series. This installment allows the reader to follow Michelle and Aaron as they take on Sin City.

Aaron is very different in this book; he has embraced his new life and is strong and confident. Although Michelle is the master, he seems more of an equal. Anastasia is a woman with psychic ability to whom Aaron is drawn. She is a tortured soul who has had a really rough life. Readers will  get to see the interesting role she plays in the lives of Aaron and Michelle.

Luedke has done it again with Nightlife: Las Vegas. He took the reader on a wild ride as Michelle and Aaron fall prey to the dark side of Vegas. Once again, he draws the reader in with his descriptiveness and fascinating storyline. The thing I like most about Luedke’s vampires is while they do have the ability to love, their predatory nature is what is always in the forefront. I thought this book was a little darker than Nightlife: New York, but I really enjoyed the read.

This isn’t a fluffy romance so it may not be for everyone. If you are up for something different you can get lost in this world of sex, violence, and bloodlust. If you want more, the third book in the series Nightlife: Paris is already available.

Vampires, Aaron Pilan and his master Michelle, live by one rule — no bloodslaves. EVER. Aaron breaks that rule when he meets Anastasia. All Anastasia wants is to be loved and cherished, but the predatory men she’s attracted to bring her only pain and abuse. Escaping one train-wreck relationship for another, she finds happiness with Aaron and Michelle as a bloodslave, a ‘pet’. When Aaron uses his telepathy to win thousands at the gambling tables, he attracts the deadly attention of the Colombian Cartel and Aaron and Michelle are ‘disappeared’. Addicted to the bite of her vampire lovers, Ana is desperate to find them. But, Las Vegas isn’t ready for vampires mixing heroin, sex and vengeance. Ana is trapped in the spiraling chaos.

Find out what happens in the second novel of the Nightlife Series.

The Nightlife: New York is about a vampire named Michelle who decides to save a young man, Aaron, from death by turning him. The story follows the two as they embark on a new life together in New York City.

Michelle is beautiful but deadly. In the novel you see what can be described as a Jekyll and Hyde personality. You can see moments of tenderness with Aaron and also she can put on her “good face” with others when the need arises. When she is bad she can be cold and downright brutal. I loved her character! I couldn’t wait to see which side of her would emerge. Aaron is a good soul, and basically the “nice guy” in the beginning. He is completely taken with Michelle from the moment he sets eyes on her. He has a tender heart and is really compassionate. It was incredible watching him adapt to his new life and become the predator.

Luedke gives readers a thrill with a fast paced read full of violence, corruption, and sex. He picked the perfect setting for the book, and really sucked the reader into the gritty New York nightlife. I found his writing to be a breath of fresh air from the typical vampire romance book. His writing is very provoking, and I couldn’t tear my eyes from the pages. The author’s descriptiveness really makes the reader feel like a voyeur looking into the lives of the characters. I was particularly impressed with Aaron’s transformation. The way he described the exact moment Aaron had truly come into his own as a vampire was a really powerful and unforgettable moment in the book for me.

Nightlife: New York is the perfect start to this exciting series! If you are in the mood for something more edgy and erotic, pick this one up; you won’t be disappointed. There are several more books in the series that have already been released, and I am itching to get my hands on them! Luedke is officially going on my list of must read authors!

Vampires, strippers, escorts, night clubs, pimps & dirty cops––the Nightlife New York is never boring. Aaron Pilan’s life is forever changed when he’s shot trying to rescue a drop-dead gorgeous woman on the streets of New York. Aaron is thrust into the shocking world of vampiric slavery when Michelle shares her blood to save his life.

Michelle’s existence as a solitary vampire is also altered when she accepts this naïve young man into her life. Bound by her blood, Aaron is subject to her authority. He walks a tightrope of strictly controlled feeding regiments & intense sexual adventures while catering to the neurotic control-freak tendencies of his new master. She vows to eliminate him if he proves too difficult to control.

This story is bold & evocative infusing blood, sex, love & turmoil in an urban drama about two vampires battling evil outside & within themselves.

Terry Spear PhotoLadies and Gentlemen, please welcome back to VRB, the amazingly talented Terry Spear! (insert my fan girl scream here) Yes, it’s no secret that Terry is one of my all time favorites and of course I’m always beyond excited when she comes by for a visit. This week Terry will be releasing the latest in her wolf series, A Highland Werewolf Wedding and is out touring the blog world to share it with everyone. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak and I’m going to let you in on a little secret…..This book Rocks! Loved it!

Anyway, with all the Highland books that Terry Spear has written it got me thinking, what exactly is it that makes a Highlander so damn sexy? Well I asked Terry if she would give us her thoughts on that and she’s written us a great guest post about that very thing. Did I mention that she is also giving one very lucky commenter their very own copy of A Howl for a Highlander? You can’t win it if you don’t comment though!

Those Sexy Highlanders

by Terry Spear

Rhonda wanted me to write about what makes us drool over Highlanders—what makes them so damn sexy? Is it their kilt—bare chest, bare legs, going Regimental—their term for butt-naked?! Or their sexy Highland brogue? Or the stereotypical brawniness? In the Scotland way—they are totally braw.

It’s got to be all of the above—don’t you think?

And then add that paranormal element—the werewolf, and you’ve got the ultimate man feast.

Just think of it. He’s protective—carries a sword to weddings to protect his bride-to-be, wears a kilt, and you’re just dying to know what’s underneath it, hoping for a big gust of wind, and in Scotland, it can be really blustery, and then…he winks at you—knowing just where your mind has wandered.

Yep. Braw, Highland, warrior, yum.

But we haven’t even gotten to the way he talks to you, aye? That brogue is so delicious, even if you canna understand half of what he says. And when he speaks in Gaelic, he could be cursing, but you can pretend he’s sharing sweet nothings to get you in the mood…and smile.

If you’re smart, you’ll get him to remove his shirt so he doesn’t get it wet in the rain. And then you can talk him into stripping down to run as a wolf. Who says women can’t be just as wily as the Highland hunks?

Then you’ll know for sure just what a delicious treat you’re in for if the two of you decide to get to know each other better.

But wait, remember, if you’re a wolf, and he’s a wolf, there are limits to what you two can do. It all has to do with wolves mating for a lifetime. Some rules can’t be broken. And really, who would want to break them?

I have to say that as wolves, he will lose his Scottish brogue, along with his kilt. But that’s okay because he’s still totally protective. Not that you won’t use your teeth on something or someone who might want to harm either of you also.

And then it’s back to being human—he’s all hunky naked Highlander—having lost the kilt, shirt, sword, etc. And you’re kind of in the same situation. The problem when wolves have their clothes stolen, and so, what’s a girl to do?

Move in with him in his castle. Now the problem with that is that Scottish castles often have ghosts. And Cearnach’s cousin likes the ladies. Too much.

Which means? You need a protector in the flesh. If you scream, no telling who all will come to your protection. Lots of hunky Highlanders waving swords, no doubt.

A girl could sure dream.

So what do you find attractive about a Highlander??? Ready to share his big bed in an ancient castle in Scotland???

One commenter has the chance to win a copy of A Howl for a Highlander, US or Canada address only. Thanks to Rhonda and all of you at Vampire Romance Books for having me back! Hope you love Highlanders as much as I love writing about them!

Now he’s out to ensure that this sexy female wolf gets her fair share of her clan’s treasure. He knows he should leave well enough alone, but it’s too late to leave his heart out of it.
