OOO! I can’t wait to read this, Nicole! I’m so glad you found our group to tell us about it. We’re always on the prowl for new, delishous vamp reads!
October 29th, 2009 at 2:05 pm
oops, forgot to answer the question: what draws me first is the cover art. Once I’ve looked at the art, I’ll see who’s made a comment on the cover, and if it’s anyone I’ve read before. Then I read the synopsis; if I’ve made it this far, I’ll probably read it.
October 29th, 2009 at 5:13 pm
What draws me to new authors at first is the cover art and the name of the book. I then try to find some reviews about the book. This book seems like it will be really good. I hope I win it, if not i will just go out and buy it.
October 29th, 2009 at 6:33 pm
A cover draws me in then the synopsis grabs my attention but then I go online and research the author and series more before I commit. I know lots of looking up for a book but I like to be sure before I put the time into a book
October 29th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
First off for me it has to be comments from other authors. When I am at the book store looking for something to read I got to the romance (where else…lol) and I just start grabbing books and look at the cover for other authors who have also read it. If its an author that I know and like I turn it over and read the back. I also go to authors website to see what else they have etc. and if they have something about another author on there site I usually go straight to amazon and check it out.
October 30th, 2009 at 10:41 am
Always I read a synopsis first, then I look for some reviews and after I’ve plunked down my hard earned coins and have it in my hands I hope that the cover art has at least something to do with the story. I just hate when the hero vamp has long blonde hair and the guy on the cover is sporting a head of black hair.
October 30th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
The cover art. It always grabs my attention first. Then the synopsis of the book. If it sounds good then I’ll buy it.
October 30th, 2009 at 3:51 pm
At first glance, the cover. Second glance, the synopsis. If I have time and I’m online, I will read reviews given from other sources. If not and I’m at the bookstore, the book goes home with me. Covers can be so deceiving.
October 30th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
For me, it’s the cover art or title then I will pick it up and read the back to see if it sounds interesting.
October 30th, 2009 at 9:22 pm
Their creativity and story plot captures me most!
October 31st, 2009 at 2:20 am
What first draws me in is the title….and tital that is bold and stands out gets me to take a second look at the book. then i move to the cover art, study it, then read the paragraph about what the book is about. If i sounds book…i may even read the first or last page. after this is done…i buy it, or add to my wish list.
October 31st, 2009 at 2:22 am
lol…i wrote book instead of good in the second to late paragragh.
October 31st, 2009 at 9:19 pm
Cover art. When looking for new authors, it really is the cover that makes me even look at a book.
Thanks for the giveaway >^..^<

I always research the genre I want to read in first. Then the synopsis of the book will give me a pretty good idea of what I will think Of the book. I also like to read a little about the author. Sometimes you can tell what the stories will be like by knowing where the author lives and what there family life consists of. Married authors tend to be more romantic and single authors tend to be more family oriented to me. Of course this is not so in all cases, only an observation on my part. Cover art and titles have never grabbed my attention very much.
November 1st, 2009 at 11:03 pm
Although there are certain authors that I read everything they write, more often it is the book jacket or a review that captures my attention and makes me want to read a story. I really don’t care who the author is, if the story looks like something I want to read.

Cover art always draws my attention in stores, but lately I have been discovering books and new authors through blogs and online reviews.
November 2nd, 2009 at 1:13 pm
I tend to look at the cover art first and then read the back cover to see if they both fit and then decide

As I really enjoy paranormal I have a lot of websites saved to my favorites and always check them out to see what new books are coming out. Reading the synopsis and an excerpt is always helpful. If you can pull me in with the prologue or first chapter then you are pretty much guaranteed a read from me.
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:34 pm
I like to see reviews from other authors and cover art is very important. If I like these two areas, then I read a synopsis of the book and make my selection.
November 3rd, 2009 at 1:34 pm
What draws me first is the title of the book and the cover art. Then I read the synopsis.
November 4th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
The title draws me in first, then cover art, then the summary. Sometimes cover art can put you off a good book.
November 5th, 2009 at 10:40 am
For me, it’s definitely the synopsis first that draws me in and then secondly, the comments from other authors or readers.
November 6th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
Well im a mega book worm, and im pretty good at picking which books look good enough to read haha. If the cover art is interesting i will take a look, i have a thing for red covers so yeaa. If the book has good reviews or comments i tend to read the blurb on the back and then decide. If i know the Author it also helps. most of my friends are book worms too and we all read the same sort of thing, so if i need help finding or choosing a book they will always give their opinion.
A good book is one that is entertaining, and you just cant seem to put it down.
November 6th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
The cover art is the first step to grabbing a hold of me…If the picture gets my attention I’ll most likely pick up the book and read the back to see if its worth reading..But if the cover fails I’ll pass it right bye…
November 7th, 2009 at 2:08 am
I love reading for one so I can’t help but always picking up a book, a good book at that. The first thing that usually attracts me would be the title, if it’s intriguing then the book cover had better look good. I love book covers that just gives you this ‘take me’ feeling. The sypnosis is another thing I’ll look at, since it has to be something I want to actually read, so if it leaves me with a question mark at the top of my head and making me think what’ll happen next…then that book is my next target.
November 7th, 2009 at 4:15 am
i love to read vampire romances its very exciting i try to own every kind out there
November 7th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
I always check the cover first, then I read the back. But, I like the supernatural, or supernatural romance.
November 7th, 2009 at 9:12 pm
If I haven’t already HEARD about the author then the cover is the first thing to get me… Then if I read the back and it interests me still I buy it.. If not I look to see what others thought of it..
November 10th, 2009 at 9:34 am
I check out the new releases on your web site. Next I go to Amazon for a symopsis and reviews. From there the authors website, to read an excerpt and information about the author. I also look for my favorite authors comments about the book. From there I go to my local used book store and order it. I like to support my community. Last, but not least – I read it. Then I donate it to the used books store for others to enjoy. Full circle.
November 10th, 2009 at 1:04 pm
The first thing that catchs my attention is the cover of the book. I then read the back cover. If it sounds interesting I will then research the book on the internet to see what I can find. If the reviews are good that I find on the internet then I proceed to buy the book.
November 13th, 2009 at 10:58 pm
I am attracted to books based on the synopsis, then the cover. but most often I tend not to judge a book by the cover! However, the cover art is bold and noticable.
I have read Chapter 1 which is on facebook and I am enticed to read more. Chapter 1 was very sad and now I can’t wait to read more.
November 15th, 2009 at 1:29 am
What gets my attention is….Title, synopsis and I do check out the authors site too. I usually do most of my book shopping online so I have time to review and such! I am always up for a new author and a Fresh ideas!
November 16th, 2009 at 11:59 am
Honestly I look at the new releases here and read and discuss with the girls what’s new, good, and any details I can get. I rarely go to a store and just buy a book without research first!
November 18th, 2009 at 12:03 pm
I wanted to add that I think I look at cover art more than I realized. I was shopping this past weekend, and I’m always drawn to the hunky men on the front, or a set of fangs, or a wolf howling. The better looking the model, the more likely I’ll read the synopsis.
November 20th, 2009 at 11:49 am
I look at cover art but alos look up what other people are saying about the book.
November 20th, 2009 at 1:32 pm

when selecting a new book i read the back of it and usually the beginning of the book to see if it grabs my attention. I am really looking forward to reading this book.
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:15 am
I LOVE THE COVER, IT CAUGHT ME FIRST OFF… I HADN’T READ VAMPIRE BOOKS UNTIL ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO AND NOW I AM ADDICTED. MY DAUGHTER GOT ME STARTED AND NOW I LOVE THEM… I USUALLY WILL READ THE BACK OF THE BOOK TO SEE WHAT IT IS ABOUT BUT IT HAS TO DRAW ME FIRST… AND I USUALLY DON’T READ A LOT, BUT SINCE THE VAMPIRES HAVE CAME OUT EVERYWHERE I AM AN AVID READER NOW… I JUST CAN’T PUT ANY OF THEM DOWN… YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION.. THANKS
November 23rd, 2009 at 1:19 pm
Occasionally I do my book shopping online so I go for description 1st. But when in book store, I go to the section where I wanna read then I look at cover art.
November 23rd, 2009 at 1:21 pm
for me it’s cover art. then it’s story. since we are dealing with a new artist/writer.
November 23rd, 2009 at 1:23 pm
oh I know! how thick the book is! The reading style! If it\’s too detail I don\’t want to read.
November 23rd, 2009 at 4:11 pm
I am drawn to a book by it’s cover art… at first…then I read the synopsis. If the synopsis doesn’t grab me I put the book down. You can’t always judge a book by it’s cover. (as the old saying goes)
November 23rd, 2009 at 7:40 pm
For me it is a combination of reviews and synopsis. I almost always go read reviews on amazon before I buy a book by a new author.
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:06 pm
The first thing that I notice about a new author novel, is always the title. A good title can give you a big idea about the novel itself and can make you want to flip them over to read the back cover summary.
December 3rd, 2009 at 11:20 pm
this book sounds like it will be an awesome book to read. a book that sounds as good as this book sounds, sounds like it’s a book that you’ll never want to put down. looking forward to it!

I love Vampire books, the Cover always draws me first but I believe in taking a deeper look. I alway read reviews but I love to read I read at least 1 book a week. I really look forward to reading this book. Can’t wait.
January 15th, 2010 at 2:44 pm
O my god! I love this book! I want to win this book please!
