But i like knowing all the background to the people, places, and characters and the groups they come from…otherwise i would be a completely lost person going off on my own personal tangents as i am doing so now….sorry. i guess my question is, since this book comes from a series do i (or rather should i) read the other books in the series before reading this one? or is this one perfectly fine as a stand-alone?
