Oh, and just in case you’re wondering or haven’t read them, Ms. Sands’ Argeneau books are fun, engaging reads, and even though there are nine of them, each can pretty much stand on it’s own, so if you haven’t read the first eight, there should be no worries. Just jump right into the series with Vampire, Interrupted.

I want to do a read with the group here :) But I haven’t read her books yet. I do try to read books in order, but would you say these are ok to read as a stand alone, meaning if I just jumped into reading book #9 here, that she’d explain in the book about her vampires/rules/culture, etc? Or would it be best to even read the first book (which I don’t know is the first of this series, then go to the 9th book. Or is it totally best to read from beginning and in order? I’m a bookaholic, LOL and usually don’t read out of order but recently I’ve come upon long series and wondered with each one if it was ok to start anyplace in the series. Thanks!

I sort of jumped into the middle of the series myself, about four books back, I think.

While it would be helpful to read from the beginning, I don’t think it’s absolutely essential.

If you want, you can read the one previous, The Accidental Vampire, first, then tackle Vampire Interrupted. You should be good to go then, as the storyline in TAV offers a good mapping of her vampire mythology for one of the mortal characters.

These books are great fun and witty reads.
