I’d have to choose Spike. I love the surly, wisecracking guy with the bleached hair and the trashed Cadillac.
February 20th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
Ohhhh…tough one!
Anita Blake’s Asher would be a lovely valentine…I have a soft spot for the wounded hero. Or, perhaps, Diane Whiteside’s Don Rafael Perez…muy macho.

I was this week in the stores and found both Angel and Buffy in DVD and didn’t know which to go to to try! So after some thought I think I’ll find some episodes (repeats) on TV and pick from there so I can get the DVD’s and watch from the beginning. I notice that both said they were closed captioned (yeah! Marta, you had any preference between the two or what you felt each had that made the show unique?

A Scottish highlanger Vamp would do me just fine.

Hi, everybody!
Caffey, I have to say that I love Buffy better, but since it was on for many seasons, the show had a chance to really develop. The regular ensemble got to reveal three-dimensional characters, characters matured, and the secondary cast was great.
Angel definitely got better as it went on. I didn’t like it at first, and I did have some problems with the storyline, but I became a fan. I was delighted that David Boreanez was able to show his talent as a comic actor, while still improving his skills as a moody, broody Angel.
My advice? Buy both series!

Caffey, I would start with Buffy since that’s where Angel made his first appearance and that storyline led to him moving to LA.
February 22nd, 2008 at 10:53 pm
My first choice would have to be angel.

Mikhail Dubrinsky from Christine Feehan’s novels
February 24th, 2008 at 1:18 am
Either Erik from the Sookie Stackhouse books or Milosz (sp?) from Dawn Thompson’s books.
February 24th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
Geez, that’s a toss-up. Spike for contemporary vamp, and Chapel, whom I fell in love with in “Be Mine Tonight”, for my historical choice. xoxo

I was able to catch an episode of “Blood Ties” this weekend, and I have to say that I really liked Henry Fitzroy’s character: amused, weary, smart, and self-aware. I’ve heard that the show has been renewed, so I’ll try to find out the regular air time.

i believe our dreamy vampire sould have a name that the readers (myself) can realisticly dream about. A common name, yet something old that will mark him of his time… yet simple, ordinary…. Peter, Steven, John, Frank, Brian, Tyler, Scott, Jason, Evan, Bill (William), Ethan, Dillon, Aron, Adam, charlie… charlie is a good one…it has a nice feel rolling off you tonge..( go on say it..CHARLIE!). William is a good strong name. Yet soft so it counteracts the harsh ways of a sinful vampire!
Now what about a last name…. sorry but i have to say that a true dreamy vampire does NOT need a last name!!!!

Emily, I love the idea of a vampire named Charlie. In fact, I have a Charlie Arthur character in my second novel, who is a rather unlikely vampire. I also have a Sam, Oswald, and a Xavier, who admits that “Vampires have sucky names.”

ANGEL you just got to love him
February 28th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
I fell in love with Erik from the Sookie Stackhouse originally - but I am now in morning for Kisten from Kim Harrison’s book. I’ll miss Kisten…
February 29th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
I also love Mick from Moonlight. I would also take Henry from Bloodties in a heartbeat. Any of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I’m not a picky girl. Eyes that make your blood warm I’m all over it.
