I have always loved vampires. From the time I was a little girl I have been facinated with them. In the past I never enjoyed reading. When I was a kid I hated to read and was terrible at it. Nothing I could read would ever hold my attention long enough to finish it. That is until I read my first vampire romance book. I read one of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s books and became hooked. Now I am a vampire romance novel junkie. I love to read now, I guess I just had to find a genre that was to my liking.

  28. pamela dasher says:

I have been reading for a long time, started out with joann lynsey for romance then one day i picked up a book called Dead until Dark by Charlaine Harris (Eric yummy) and since then I read all i can get my hands on Laurel K Hamilton (I swoon over Jean Claude), Christine Feehan, Serrilyn Kenyon (Ash wow), J.R.Ward. Yes it is all fantasy but after a hard days work and when your done with your taken care of your family that doesn’t leave much time so the best way to relax is in a good romance that can take the bite off and leave you waiting for the next book. Oh and yes I’m looking forward 2008 when Sookie comes to TV, I just hope the TV series doesn’t ruin the books. As for Lare Adrian I have not read any of her stuff yet so I must go and buy one of her books, hahaha then when I win this contest I will be able to value it all the more.

  30. caitlin hoy says:

My fascination with vampires began when I was little when my mom bought me a book about them for Halloween. I was amazed at the idea that they might be real and that they had super powers. Since then I read mostly vampire books in every genre available. They just keep you coming back for more with all the different legends and theories authors come up with. They totally are the lords of the paranormal. Once i was old enough to grow into romance they basically became about 75% of all my book material. Vampires Rule the Night! (pun intended).

  31. dwelch says:

i have not read any of lara adrian’s books yet, but i am willing to give them a shot. they were recommended to me by the same friend who recommended jr ward’s books and i really like those. luckily for me i have an awesome librarian who is willing to search her library, the state and the country for any of the 40 billion books i request on an almost weekly basis. personally i think she makes bets with the other librarian as to what this week’s author will be: stephen king, mark twain, anne mccaffrey, jr ward, patricia cornwell, janet evanovich or any other of the authors i read on a fairly regular basis.

  32. Alicia Howard says:

Well I’m a Deputy and one night I had an inmate at the hospital really boaring. My best friend sent the first three book’s of The Black Dagger Brotherhood to the E.R. I love many differnt authers and I am always trying to find new books and authors all the time. Your web page has been a blessing thanks.

  33. Carmen R. says:

My interest in vampire romance books happened by sure chance. A year ago I was told that I have a incurable muscle disease. I tend to have to lay around in bed a lot because of the pain. On one of my good days i went to the book store to try and find something to help pass the time. I just grabbed random books off the shelf. Two of which were the undead series and the sookie series. Ever since I have been hooked and have my book shelves full of vampire romance novels.

  34. Cory says:

Yet another reminder that I have to pick these books up. I’ve been hooked on vampire romance novels since I read some 4 book teenage series years ago. The Vampire Diaries or something like that. I’ve been reading them ever since, and will probably continue reading them forever.

  35. becky says:

I came across a copy of christine feehans dark prince a few years ago in a bookstore and she had me hooked.went on to devour her whole dark series after running out i started to look elsewhere and havnt looked back since , i dont think ill ever get bored of them.At the moment im really into the J R Ward series.

  36. Susan H says:

Like so many others… Laurell K Hamilton. One day I picked up “Micah” at the library, and the rest, as they say, is history !

I love Feehan and yes, Charlaine Harris ( I think she’s in the genre). There are SO many wonderful authors and wonderful stories to read now that I have become “addicted” !

  37. Becky says:

I believe I began with Lynsay Sands’s Argeneau series… it gives an interestingly scientific explanation of vampires which hooked me from the beginning! Many other authors just fell into place from there. Christine Feehan is one of my favorites, and I also enjoy Laurell K. Hamilton, J.R. Ward, and Sherrilyn Kenyon. It has become a bit of a family addiction, as my mom, grandma, and I trade our books back and forth!

  38. Jennifer G says:

When my husband and I first got together he had learned of my love of reading. He had passed me the book Dark Demon by Christine Feehan on to me. After reading that one we started reading more and more vampire themed romance novels together. It’s a genre that we both enjoy. We often find our self similar to the charters. I have to admit I’m as bull headed as thoughts girls. Reading these books gives us common ground.

  39. Delicia Saenz says:

I just fininshed reading the twilight, new moon, & eclipse by Stephenie Meyer. I bought them and it took me 3 days to read all three. Once I started I couldn’t put my book down. My husband thought I was crazy. He had never seen me in my vampire reading frenzy. I can’t wait for book 4. I loved these stories.

  40. Janice Leija says:

My obsessions with Vampire novels began about 6 months ago…but oh boy has it be a ride. My family, friend and boyfriend think I’m insane. It all started on day at the book store and they were closing for the day. I was in desperate need of a book. I grabbed the first book I saw. When I got home I finally saw what I had purchased. OMG! It was a romance novel….a VAMPIRE romance novel. To be exact it was Lara Adrian’s Kiss of Midnight (NO LIE). I was not happy. I started to read it either way by the first two chapters I was hooked. After I finished with her two novels I went and bought JR ward’s five books and read them in one week! I’m so hooked that I can reread the books and still cry and laugh with them.

  41. Sue A. says:

Anne Rice got me interested in Vampires and Tanya Huff sealed the deal with her Blood series. From there my love of the paranormal genre and romance genre made it natural for me to seek Vampire romances.

  42. Teresa W. says:

I happened to order some books from a book club and the front cover looked interesting. The book was “Night of the Huntress” by Kathryn Smith. It usually takes me a couple of weeks to finish a book due to time contraints but this book was finished in a weekend and I was left desparately wanting more. I felt myself pulled into the story and I felt like I knew the characters personally. I read the first book afterward, not knowing it was a sequel when I read the second one and I like it when she refers to other characters that I am familiar with. There books are about 5 vampire warriors and I can’t wait to read about the other guys. The men are just so sexy and seductive and yet tender and compassionate and protective over the women they love. Their emotions and feelings run very very deep and you just want to experience that over and over. Needless to say, I’M HOOKED!

  43. Arlene says:

To be honest I was first drawn to vampire romance books by the cover of the book…it caught my eye and the words of the book caught and capture my heart and mind…I didn’t know they existed until then and now I can’t get enough of them.

  48. Tami says:

  67. Jordan Shapiro says:

I found Twilight by Stephanie Meyer and fell instantly in love with Edward (the vampire lover) he was my new hero. I loved how he was strong and invincible and wanted to read a ton more books like this one. The only problem was? I couldn’t find a single other book then I started searching for books online and came across this site which had 100s of books of just that kind. The first books I read were Keri Arthur’s Riley Jenson Guardian series and I haven’t read another kind of book since.
