Whew … we really dislike that so much fine print is necessary but, sadly, it is prudent in today's world to include it.
And because I can't stand to end this post with legalese…
If you haven't read this series, you're missing something special. Colleen has created a very tangible universe of contrasts, characters that make you sit up and take notice, and a battle between good and evil that enraptures the imagination. These books are highly intelligent, relentlessly intense, and written with undeniable passion.

I much prefer Sebastian over Venator Max. Max is arrogent and he thinks that women have no right to hunt vampires, sexist b*****d, heh heh.(sorry ’bout that) Plus, Sebastian’s awesome.

The time is up the pens are down:
What is the need to balance dancing and danger and duty and love.

She has to balance between dancing and danger and soirees and stakes.

Victoria must balance her life between dancing and danger and being a wife and a peer in society and a venator.

Well, I’ve said in the past that I prefer Max. I think maybe BECAUSE of his sexist attitude. However, after re-reading The Rest Falls Away, I think I’ve been swayed to be a Sebastian follower. He somehow seemed sexier the second time around.
Then again, maybe I’m just a fickle woman…

Max is intriguing and I would say has potential as a definite love interest for Victoria. He can be dangerous but is still a good ally.
June 1st, 2007 at 9:26 am
Max is Victoria’s Partner in crime and protector although he can be abrasive and mysterious.

oh, i am all about sebastian. not only is he naughty and racy, he’s a double dealer! what good girl doesn’t love a bad boy?
June 1st, 2007 at 11:02 am
She has to balance dancing and danger, soirees and stakes.

I prefer Max over Sebastian. I’m one of those people who just wasn’t a Sebastian fan at all. I thought he was creepy and slimy. Max could be a little bit of a pain sometimes, but I think he’s a better match for Victoria any day over Sebastian. But who knows, maybe my opinion will change after Rises the Night

She has to balance Dancing and Danger and Corsets and Silver Crosses.
June 1st, 2007 at 2:42 pm
I am definitely a Max fan. He is arrogant…but so far he always has Victoria’s back. Gotta love that.
June 1st, 2007 at 3:43 pm
I love the venator Max. I think the two of them together would be fun.
June 1st, 2007 at 3:44 pm
I love Max.
June 1st, 2007 at 4:01 pm
I like Sebastian because I like his sarcasm and his devil-may-care attitude. LOL.
June 1st, 2007 at 4:07 pm
I prefer Sebastian because he’s the ultimate bad boy!
June 1st, 2007 at 6:11 pm
I absolutly adore Sebastian. He is dangerous but has a sense of humor, and know how to make the best use out of a carriage ride! Is Max able to have that much fun? I have yet to see it. ^_~
June 1st, 2007 at 6:33 pm
Hmm, that’s a pretty tough choice as I am a fan of both guys. But if both isn’t a choice (and whyever not?) then I’m gonna have to go with Max. He’s so sexy in a serious sort of way!
June 1st, 2007 at 9:06 pm
I prefer Max over Sebastian. I think his attitude presents a challege for Victoria. I’m one of those women that has faced challege due to attitudes about women so I can relate to her.
June 1st, 2007 at 9:50 pm
Victoria must balance between corsets and silver crosses. Neat video!
June 1st, 2007 at 9:57 pm
Sebastian. He’s naughty, sarcastic, and mysterious. What’s not to love ?!
June 2nd, 2007 at 12:13 am
she balances dancing and danger.
June 2nd, 2007 at 10:01 am
Sebastian because he is seductive and dangerous.
June 2nd, 2007 at 10:13 am
I definitely prefer Max. There’s a lot under the surface of his brooding and arrogance. He has a magnetic quality.
June 2nd, 2007 at 10:38 am
Without a doubt, I prefer Max. He seems like the type of person who hides as much of their true self as possible. Max also seems brave, if not arrogant, whereas Sebastian strikes me as a bit of a coward.
June 2nd, 2007 at 12:27 pm
Sebastian! Bad boys are always the best!!!
June 2nd, 2007 at 3:43 pm
Oh… I’d have to go with Max.
At the beginning Max is all that’s arrogant and seemingly uncaring, while Sebastian seems to be a lot more ‘fun’. But overall, I think the Venator Max is the better guy for Victoria. He needs to learn, and by the end of the book he seems to be learning, that Victoria is as committed as he is. He needs to see that there is more than just black or white in life; Victoria, I think, is just the one to help him in that.
June 3rd, 2007 at 11:37 am
I personally prefer Sebastian to Max. He’s more spontanous and unstable - it’s almost a constant game to try and figure him out. Max is the better guy for Victoria, but for myself I’d go with Sebastian
June 3rd, 2007 at 2:11 pm
I really like the brooding and mysterious Venator Max. But Sebastian isn’t too bad either. LOL
June 3rd, 2007 at 8:01 pm
Sebastian, without a doubt! He has charisma..
and the physical chemistry is oh so hot between Victoria and him. I know that’s what I want in my romantic life.
June 3rd, 2007 at 8:03 pm
Sebastian!!!! His charisma and the oh so hot chemistry between Victoria and him is what I want in my love life.

I think Sebastian seemed more alluring…more mysterious.
